Sermon: Christians, Violence, and Military Service

Sermon: Christians, Violence, and Military Service

How should Christians think of military service or violent sports?  Did early Christians believe in participating in military service or watching violent sporting events?  What did Jesus teach?  What did the Apostle Paul write?  How long have real Christians been ‘conscientious objectors’?  What is the position of the Church of Rome?  What did Martin Luther teach?  Should Christians encourage violence?
